WIBA’s Not-For-Profit Spotlight

Since its inception in 2009, the Hendricks County Parks and Recreation Department has recognized the importance of fostering a community through accessible parks and trails. To address the growing financial challenges faced by the county, the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising philanthropic funds that enhance our beloved outdoor spaces.
In 2019, the Board of Directors expanded the Foundation’s mission to support all 40 public parks and trails within Hendricks County, showcasing a commitment to enriching the lives of families and residents alike. This work is made possible through the collaborative efforts of numerous supportive organizations and generous donors, including the Hendricks County Community Foundation, highlighting the power of partnerships in nurturing our community’s well-being.
