The Town of Bargersville has formally launched the Bargersville Municipal Arts and Cultural Commission (BMACC), a new advisory body established to support local artists, enhance quality of place, and advance the town’s creative economy development goals.
The commission serves as a resource to the Town on matters related to arts, culture, and creative placemaking. The group held its inaugural meeting in February and meets monthly on the second Friday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Bargersville Town Hall. All meetings are open to the public.
The commission’s mission is to foster a vibrant arts and cultural environment that supports local talent while contributing to economic development and community identity. A key early focus of the commission is building stronger connections between the Town and local artists. By developing a network of creatives, the commission intends to support future public art projects, community events, and cultural programming.
One of the commission’s first initiatives, Cultural Soundscapes, will spotlight emerging local musicians and expand opportunities for residents to experience live music in Bargersville.
Commission members include Chair Erin Smith, Vice Chair Hannah Mueller, Keith Cecil, Susie Qualls, Dave Windish, and Town Manager Dax Norton.
