Southport Police Department officers lend a hand at Hunger Inc.
On Nov. 1, the officers joined the dedicated team at Hunger Inc. to assist with crowd control and ensure everyone stayed safe as the organization experienced a higher-than-usual turnout.
With the recent government shutdown and impacts to SNAP benefits, more families are seeking assistance, and they are proud to support our community partners during this time of increased need.
A big thank you to Hunger Inc. for the incredible work they do daily to help local families, and our officers for their continued commitment to service, both on and off duty.
