Johnson County Winter Farmer’s Market Launches

Leadership Johnson County Class of 2026 launched the Johnson County Winter Farmer’s Market, taking place on March 21, 8am-12pm at Indian Creek Middle School.

“Occasionally, an opportunity comes along to make history and strengthen our community. This is one of those moments and we’d love to have you join us” said Hollie McKibben, organizer, “Farmers can grow food all year but have nowhere to sell it in winter in our community.”

Vendor fees and donations will support two non-profits, the Refuge and Resources of Hope. The Refuge provides thousands of meals each year to families who would otherwise go hungry. They operate food pantries and outreach programs throughout Johnson County. Resources of Hope serves foster children who often enter care with only the clothes they are wearing. Resources of Hope offers a “Closet of Hope” where kids can shop for essentials, clothes, and toys.
