Blythe Potter and Ashley Auld had a vision for a wellness company that allowed them creative freedom and the ability to manage their own schedules.
In 2018, Bargersville Wellness made its debut, offering facials, massages, haircuts for all genders, all color services, and barbering at 17 N. Baldwin St.
“We want to change the way the salon and spa industry interacts with their environment, employees, and fellow industry professionals” said Potter, “We intend to be stewards of our community and environment and spark positive change amongst our fellow business owners.”
Recently, Bargersville Wellness announced their acceptance into the Female Founder Collective, which is an initiative to support and develop female founded and woman-owned businesses.
“Ashley and I have been very active in the community since before we opened” shared Potter, “We have found the best resource in our community is making time to be with our neighbors. We love volunteering and learning how to be better stewards.”
In addition, they are a Green Circle Salon, which is a program designed to eliminate beauty waste. Beauty waste can include hair clippings, excess hair color, used metal, and single use beauty items.
“We are primarily different because we will push the envelope when we see something that needs to be changed for our community, meaning, we aren’t afraid to have an unpopular opinion if it means making lives easier/safer/more fair for those around us” said Potter.
In 2026, Potter and Auld will expand their businesses to two locations, Bargersville and Greenwood, allowing them to spend more time with their loved ones. Auld is phasing out their current product line to transition to Kevin Murphy. More information about their move and new offerings will be found on their website and social media.
