Bargersville, IN – The Town of Bargersville and South Central Soccer Academy (SCSA) are pleased to announce the commencement of a project to install a state-of-the-art turf soccer field at SCSA.
The new turf field, scheduled for completion in late summer 2025, will provide a high-quality, all-weather playing surface for youth athletes throughout the region. Accelerated by a generous donation from The Huff Family, this project reflects an ongoing commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities in Bargersville.
“We are excited to bring this top-tier facility to Bargersville,” said Kris Wilson, Bargersville’s Director of Parks and Recreation. “This new turf field will benefit not only our local athletes but also families and visitors from around the state and region who are drawn to events at the facility.”
The turf field elevates SCSA’s goal of creating a premier destination for soccer training, league play, and tournaments. The turf field will feature advanced drainage and lighting systems, including innovative infill material to lower playing surface temperatures.
“SCSA is proud to work alongside the Town of Bargersville on this transformative project to expand opportunities for kids in our growing community,” said Erich Nugent, SCSA President. “This facility will elevate the experience for our players and coaches, extend available training windows and enable hosting of higher-level games.”
The project is part of a broader effort to expand recreational infrastructure in Bargersville, supporting healthy lifestyles and community engagement. Additional details about the field’s grand opening and community events will be announced in the coming weeks.
